Consultant in Physiotherapy for complex pain

Advanced Practice Physiotherapist
As an advanced practice physiotherapist I work with a high degree of autonomy, use complex decision-making within multi-professional teams, and work across the health and social care system to enable quality and integrated care.
When working with CRPS and neuropathic pain, the emphasis is on pain management and restoration of function.

Transformational
Leadership and Coaching
Integrity and vision are at the heart of my leadership style whether I'm working with patients or clinicians.
I aim to bring a balance between ethics, justice, respect and goal-orientated work.
Therapeutic work for complex conditions like CRPS and neuropathic pain should be embedded in your life and values. This is why I take a coaching position instead of a paternalistic position with you.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity
Progressive and effective pain care starts with social justice.
As an active member of the pain care community and with a position of international leadership, I am committed to bringing an intersectional approach to my own life and the space I hold with patients.
Persistent and complex pain is protected under the Human Rights Act and Disability and Equality Acts. All pain management work should take an anti-ableist perspective.

Research and Enactive Learning
As a Consultant Clinician I am committed to embedding a research culture within all aspects of my practice. I seek to empower patients with clinically up-to-date evidence and knowledge on their condition and best-practice approaches to treatment and management.
I participate as a clinician in the research projects of others, and am preparing my PhD proposal to begin my own research.
